There are 200 million in credits to make homes more efficient! A program will be launched to finance loans to business owners or private individuals who need works to improve the environmental performance of houses, for an amount of 200 million euros. 13 Apr 2018 min de leitura The Portuguese Confederation of Construction and Real Estate (CPCI) explains that the purpose of this initiative by the Portuguese State in conjunction with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and other commercial banks (entities that finance this initiative) is to approve a loan, with conditions which are very favorable, to carry out works to improve the environmental performance of the mostly residential buildings, especially in energy and water efficiency, as well as in the management of urban waste. The program, called Casa Eficiente 2020, has a projected amount of 200 million euros for the period 2018-2021. The amount is intended to support interventions in the surrounding area built of the building, in walls, roofs and windows, and in its "systems" (lighting, irrigation, ventilation, hot water production, building networks and sanitary devices). This program may compete for any person, singular or collective of private law, who owns a building or an autonomous fraction for housing, says the CPCI. "The project is formally presented on Friday at a ceremony presided over by the ministers of Planning and Infrastructures, Pedro Marques, and the Environment, João Matos Fernandes, which takes place at the headquarters of the Order of Engineers in Lisbon."
